Decca/Lego has published a report about this party in the German mag Amiga Special; He as also translated this report into English.

The BLACKBOX-SYMPOSIUM

The group PHANTASM called, and about 300 people came to the very north of germany: to Hamburg. From the 22. til the 23. of april the long awaited BlackBox Symposium took place there.

The Party for all Amigas, from A500 to A4000/40, had a lot to offer. There was the big Videoscreen with soundsystem to mention, like a lot of other good things, for example the stable power- supply or the easy and comfortable atmosphere.

The big amount of guests contained also members of known demoteams like: Sanity, Polka Brothers, TRSI or Lego.

The competitions for the best demo, intro, graphic, music and animation were voted by the audience like this:

The entries were rewarded with many valuable prices, wich were sponsored by known companies like MacroSystems, Maxon, Amiga Oberland, Villagetronic, DTM and Activa.

The big amount of guests and the splendid sponsoring made the party a full success. Let's hope, that we can meet again on new Symposium next year.

Das BLACKBOX-SYMPOSIUM

Die Gruppe PHANTASM rief, und ueber 300 Leute kamen in den hohen Norden Deutschlands: nach Hamburg. Dort fand vom 22. bis zum 23. April das lang angekuendigte BlackBox Symposium '95 statt.

Die Party fuer alle Amigas, von A500 bis A4000/040, hatte allerhand zu bieten. Da waere die grosse Videoleinwand mit Soundsystem zu erwaehnen, wie auch allerlei andere Kleinigkeiten, wie zum Beispiel die gute Stromversorgung oder die lockere und entspannte Atmosphaere.

Unter den zahlreichen Gaesten befanden sich natuerlich auch Mitglieder der bekannten Demogruppen wie zum Beispiel: Sanity, Polka Brothers, TRSI oder Lego.

Bei den Wettbewerben um die beste Demo, Intro, Grafik, Musik und Animation entschied das Publikum wie folgt:

Die Plazierungen wurden mit zahlreichen wertvollen Sachpreisen belohnt, die von namhaften Firmen wie MacroSystems, Maxon, Amiga Oberland, Villagetronic, DTM und Activa zur Verfuegung gestellt wurden.

Dank der zahlreichen Gaeste und dem guten Sponsoring war die Party ein voller Erfolg. Bleibt zu hoffen, dass es auch im naechsten Jahr ein Wiedersehen auf einem erneuten Symposium gibt.
