Well I wasn't there at the party, but this way afterwards I heard good reactions about it.
Basically, if you check it, the C64 side of this party was great in a way, because most of the active c64 groups nowdays are from Germany. (Oxyron, Crest, Hitmen, lousy Smash)

Hey Tino, aren't you a guy? I guess you meant wallet and not purse eh? Hope you get it back, though.

Also I am missing a 5 1/4" disk, but I guess it's lost forever.... In case anybody finds it: It's black disk saying Syndrom's Musics in Yellow writing on it.

The acapella stuff was really great - I also enjoyed most of the other games... Steeler rules.

At least in the c64 competition the beamer was lacking colors :( and also the sleeping tent was complete crap (nice idea though).

The c64 part of the organisation did rule most definately - keep it up Chaotic!

To the organizers: Thanks for a great party! It was even better than the last two years! I loved the funny elements (chip tunes and the sea competition). Keep on the good work! I can only think of two things that could have been better: INTERNET!!!! (I missed checking my e-mail) and to split the wild demo competition into two: one with 3D and one with ordinary video. People might not want to compete with 3D they have worked hard on if they have no chance of winning because the "easy" shot videos are more fun (and therefore get more votes).

Very nice homepage. Especially the part with MY text from the good old SIH'95 (Somewhere In Holland) party! :)
I had never expected to see it anywhere besides in the invitation and homepage. This rules Raw Style!

'96 and '97 were very cool! Actually I think this might be the only good party left. After TP4 all TP's sucked... SIH is no more... What else is left?

I'm looking very much forward to my 3rd Symposium. I haven't much to complain about - especially not when girls get in for free (I, of course, think that's great)! I have a suggestion, however, how about making a mailing list so all the faithfull participants can get all the news by e-mail in stead of having to check your homepage now and then. (In case there already is a mailing list I would like to subscribe).
Oh, by the way, I have one complaint: I think it would be rather convenient if there was a shower room JUST FOR GIRL(S) (or at least certain times and a key!!!)

Hi all !

Well last year MS98 was real cool and I hope it will be cool this year too.
The only bad thing was the drunken guys and no good sleeping place, but all in all it is real one of the best partys !
My opinion is like Xenon said already and I think it is no good idea to forbit IT in the multicompo coz IT is more powerfull than FTII and I think it would be at least ok to allow to play IT modules with the impulse tracker itself.
Don't be fool, be COOL ! :)
Don't ignore the progress with the reason it uses some old ST3 like outlook !

By the way, I will release a beta version of my new player which should be a competitor to cubic in the near future. Probably it will be the standart player for MS99 ??? ;)

Mekka 1997 war die erste Computer-Party, die ich besucht habe, und ich war weit aus besser, als ich es erwartet hatte.
Sie war super organisiert, keine Frage, aber irgendetwas muss man sich wegen der Schlafmoeglichkeiten einfallen lassen... inb der Halle war es zu laut, und im Wagen...uff, ich fuehlte mich wie ein Klappmesser am letzten Tag :)
Ok, ich weiss aber auch, dass es schlecht anders gehen konnte. Die meisten schliefen ja eh vor`m Screen ...

some more constructive comments to the compo rules...
aber in deutsch. hab kein bock auf englishc jetzt.
1) xm compo suckt - IT ist schon viel zu sehr verbreitet, als dass ihr DAS noch bringen könntet - kriegt pascal mal lieber dazu, die letzten drei bugs aus
cp zu holen, dann habt ihr auch keine probs damit
2) demo-compo ohne gus ist von der idee zwar durchaus akzeptabel, hat aber leider gottes nur den effekt, dass die demos effektiv gebremst werden, obwohl das nicht nötig wäre. soundblaster
support required ist da sinnvoller bzw. im testlauf sb, während der compo gus oder so.
3) gleiches problem andersrum mit UniVBE. enn Ihr schon die rules darauf ausgelegt hat, die demos möglichst kompatibel/sauber programmiert zu halten, dann lasst es
doch bitte gefälligst nicht zu, daß noch mehr univbe req'd lame-zeuch rauskommt. ich hab
da selber kine probleme mit, aber das ist doch echt der hauptgrund,w warum tierisch viele
demos auf nur jedem zweiten rechner fuinzen. und ne banked-mode oder gar fake-mode engine ist ja wohl
nicht das ding heutzutage.
... Sonst sind die Comporules aber geil :)
naja, cya aufem scala, dann tret ich euch in steelers dicke eier deswegen, keine Sorge :)
